With 95 "likes" against 83 "hearts", version 1 won the third challenge. As usual, today I should have published the pattern, unfortunately it was a chaotic day and I did not write the instructions in time.
I will publish them on tomorrow.
BUT... to be forgiven, and for the enthusiasm and the numerous requests that have come to me, I'm happy to anticipate that I will also publish the pattern of the versions that have been eliminated, within a new event that I called "Tatting sharing << REWIND ".

With shuttle 1, work a R of 6ds - 1p - 10ds - 1p - 4ds. Close.

Today the game of Tatting sharing begins.

First round, first choice.

I remember, for those who have not read the post dedicated to the regulation of the game, that we are creating, together, the pattern of a doily.
The vote to decide which of the two versions I will have to publish, takes place within the Facebook group Chiacchierino: Filo, Amore e Fantasia.
The friends of the group will have until 9:00 pm on January 14th to choose.
I'm curious to know which version will win ... and you?
Do you think version 1 will win or do you think version 2 will win?
Don't ask me to choose, I love both :-)


Oggi inizia il gioco del Chiacchierino condiviso.

Primo giro, prima scelta.

Ricordo, per chi non avesse letto il post dedicato al regolamento del gioco, che stiamo realizzando, insieme, lo schema di un centrino.
La votazione per decidere quale delle due versioni dovrò pubblicare, avviene all'interno del gruppo Facebook Chiacchierino: Filo, Amore e Fantasia.
Le amiche del gruppo avranno tempo fino alle ore 21:00 del 14 gennaio per scegliere.
Sono curiosa di sapere quale versione vincerà... e voi?
Pensate che vincerà la versione 1 oppure pensate che vincerà la versione 2?
A me non chiedete di scegliere, le amo entrambe :-)

Self Closing Mock Ring (SCMR)

It looks a ring but really it is a chain closed on its base.
But how do you get it? Nothing could be simpler.

Sembra un anello ma in realtà è un arco chiuso alla base.
Ma come si ottiene? Niente di più semplice.

To make a SCMR, work a chain as usual but, before starting, leave a large loop at the beginning: prepare the shuttles to work a chain, pass the core thread (thread of shuttle 1) around the ring finger of your left hand to form the loop, then work the required number of double stitches.


Per ottenere un SCMR, lavorate un arco come al solito ma, prima di iniziare, lasciate un'asola piuttosto larga all'inizio: preparate le navette per lavorare un arco, passate il filo portanodi (il filo della navetta 1) intorno all'anulare della mano sinistra per formare l'asola, quindi lavorate il numero di nodini doppi indicato.

After working all double stitches, pass shuttle 1 through the loop.

Dopo aver lavorato tutti i nodini doppi, passate la navetta 1 attraverso l'asola.

Hold the chain firmly between your index finger and thumb and pull shuttle 1 slowly until to close the chain.

Tenete saldamente l'arco tra l'indice e il pollice e tirate la navetta 1 lentamente fino a chiudere l'arco.

This technique can be useful to work other rings on the top of the chain because you can work them with shuttle 2.

Tatting sharing - Chiacchierino condiviso

Ganuary has arrived, and the time has come to talk about tatting sharing.
What is it? ... and how does it work?
It is mainly an opportunity to have fun together and share the creation of a pattern.
It's like a game and like every game has its own rules.
But before going into details, I would like to thank the administrators of the Facebook group Chiacchierino: Filo, Amore e Fantasia, for the trust and availability they have shown me.
I speak to you about this group because the funniest part of the game will take place just within the group.
Here are the rules of the game:

1. purpose of the game is to create together a tatting doily pattern;
2. at each appointment, established from time to time, I will publish in the group a post with two different versions for each round that will form the doily;
3. all friends of the group will be able to vote for the preferred version with a "like" or a "heart", any other smiley face will not be valid for the purpose of counting votes;
4. there will be 3 days to vote;
5. the version that will have won (and only that) will be published, with diagram and instructions, in my blog;
6. I will make the doily with Babylo thread size 30 in white color, whoever wants to make it together with me will have to choose, of the desired thread, one or more different colors to combine. The result, posted in the group and complete with signature, will enter the dedicated album "Chiacchierino condiviso".

On January 11 I will publish the two versions of the first round, I hope you will participate in many!


Gennaio è arrivato, ed è arrivato il momento di parlare di chiacchierino condiviso.
Cos'è?... e come funzione?
Si tratta principalmente di un'opportunità per divertirci insieme e condividere la creazione di uno schema.
Funziona come un gioco e, come ogni gioco ha le sue regole.
Ma prima di entrare nei dettagli, vorrei ringraziare le amministratrici del gruppo Facebook Chiacchierino: Filo, Amore e Fantasia, per la fiducia e la disponibilità che mi hanno dimostrato.
Vi parlo di questo gruppo perché la parte più divertente del gioco si svolgerà proprio all'interno del gruppo.
Ma veniamo alle regole del gioco:

1. lo scopo del gioco è di creare insieme lo schema di un centrino a chiacchierino;
2. ad ogni appuntamento, stabilito di volta in volta, pubblicherò nel gruppo un post con due versioni diverse per ciascun giro che formerà il centrino;
3. tutte le amiche del gruppo potranno votare la versione preferita con un "like" o un "cuoricino", qualsiasi altra faccina non sarà valida ai fini del conteggio dei voti;
4. ci saranno 3 giorni di tempo per votare;
5. la versione che avrà vinto (e solo quella) verrà pubblicata, con schema e istruzioni, nel mio blog;
6. io realizzerò il centrino con filo Babylo nr. 30 di colore bianco, chi vorrà realizzarlo insieme a me dovrà scegliere, del filato desiderato, uno o più colori diversi da combinare. Il risultato, postato nel gruppo e completo di firma, entrerà nell'album dedicato "Chiacchierino condiviso".

L'11 gennaio pubblicherò le due versioni del primo giro, spero parteciperete in tante! 

Embroidered runner - Runner ricamato

This is the latest addition to my online store: a Christmas red runner embroidered with silver thread.
Design is my own creation and you can find non-decalctable drawings in A4 format by clicking here.
The Pdf include also all photos and instructions to realize the complete project.
The stitches I used are:

• Needlewoven bar, to embroider the small trees of the edger;
• Padded satin stitch;
• Chain stitch;
• Back stitch;
• Buttonhole stitch;
• Stem stitch;
• Overcast stitch.

Tatting starry night - Notte stellata a chiacchierino

Materials:
Metallic thread, gold color;
2 shuttles;
crochet hook;
scissors;
1 paper clip.

Abbreviations:
LJ = lock join (pass the thread of shuttle 1 through the picot to create a loop, then pass the shuttle 1 through the loop, close the loop).


Occorrente:
Filo metallico, colore oro;
2 navette;
uncinetto;
forbici;
1 graffetta.

Abbreviazioni:
LJ = lock join (passare il filo della navetta 1 attraverso il picot, poi passare la navetta 1 attraverso l'asola, chiudere l'asola).

The Comet star.

The comet star is divided into two parts, first work the tail and then the star. Always start from the red ring and, for the tail, proceed in the direction of the arrows.
All the tail rings are worked with shuttle 2; after working the first seven rings, turn work and switch shuttles. On the third ring make a LJ and turn work again. Switch shuttles and continue following the pattern.
The star is very simple, just follow the pattern.

The stars.

All the stars are formed by 5 chains. Wind a shuttle, tie the end to the other shuttle and wind about 15 - 20 cm of thread so to work with the continuous thread.
To start working the star, insert the paperclip (it will create the necessary space to close the work at the end) and work the first chain, the picots are very small.
To work the second chain, pass the core thread around your ring finger to form a loop and work the chain. At the end, pull the core thread slowly so to close the loop.

The moon.

The moon is composed of two chains. Insert the paper clip before starting to work. At the end of the first chain, turn work and switch shuttles.



La stella cometa.

La stella cometa è divisa in due parti, si lavora prima la coda e poi la stella. Si inizia sempre dall'anello rosso e, per la coda, si procede seguendo la direzione delle frecce.
Tutti gli anelli della coda sono lavorati con la navetta 2; dopo aver lavorato i primi sette anelli, girare il lavoro e scambiare le navette. Sul terzo anello eseguire una LJ e girare di nuovo il lavoro. Scambiare le navette e continuare seguendo lo schema.
La stella è molto semplice, basta seguire lo schema.

Le stelle.

Tutte le stelle sono formate da 5 archi. Avvolgete il filo in una navetta, legate il capo all'altra navetta e avvolgete circa 15 - 20 cm di filo così da lavorare con il filo continuo.
Per iniziare a lavorare la stella, inserite la graffetta (vi creerà lo spazio necessario per chiudere il lavoro alla fine) e lavorate il primo arco, i picot sono molto piccoli.
Per lavorare il secondo arco, passate il filo della navetta portanodi attorno all'anulare in modo da formare un'asola e lavorate l'arco. Alla fine tirate lentamente il filo portanodi così da chiudere l'asola.

La luna.

La luna è formata da due archi. Inserite la graffetta prima di iniziare a lavorare. Alla fine del primo arco, girare il lavoro e scambiare le navette.
