One motif, two projects - Un motivo, due progetti

Sometimes a pattern is so versatile (and I like it so much) that I can not do without to work on it for using it in different projects and compare the results... as in this case

Qualche volta un modello è così versatile (e mi piace a tal punto) che non posso fare a meno di lavorarci sopra per utilizzarlo in progetti diversi e confrontare i vari risultati... come in questo caso.

The motif.

The motif is a simple and dainty tatting circle that I used in two different sizes: "big" composed of all rounds of the pattern; "small" composed of only one round.

The projects.

The first project is a tatting doily. You can find the pattern in my shop, available in Pdf format completed of diagrams and instructions in Italian and English language.

The second project is a curtain for my window.

First of all I prepared the different motifs and sewed the curtain using hemstitch to finish the edge.

Subsequently I divided the surface of the curtain into eight equal rectangles, just as the Germanella profile divides the glass of my window, then I positioned all motifs and applied them using overcast stitch.

Now I can compare the two projects ... and I must say that I like them both!

Il motivo.

Il motivo è un semplice e delicato cerchio a chiacchierino che ho utilizzato in due diverse misure: "grande" formato da tutti i giri previsti dal modello; "piccolo" composto da un solo giro.

I pregetti.

Il primo progetto è un centrino a chiacchierino. Potete trovare lo schema nel mio negozio, disponibile in formato Pdf completo di schemi e istruzioni in italiano e inglese. 

Il secondo progetto è un tenda per la mia finestra.

Prima di tutto ho preparato i diversi motivi e ho cucito la tendina rifinendo il bordo con l'orlo a giorno. 

Successivamente ho diviso la superficie della della tenda in otto rettangoli uguali, allo stesso modo in cui la germanella divide il vetro della mia finestra, quindi ho posizionato tutti i motivi e li ho applicati a punto cordoncino.

Adesso posso confrontare i due progetti... e devo dire che mi piacciono entrambi!
